August 6-8, 2026

Patriotism - Knobs Commemorating

Americans and American Ideas
Picture
The Antique Doorknob Collectors of America will hold our 46th Annual Convention

at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Philadelphia Airport Hotel.

This should be an exciting opportunity for collectors and historic preservation

enthusiasts to gather again as we have since 1981 to buy, sell and trade hardware,

and share ideas & thoughts.

The  2026 ADCA Convention  will be

Open to the public Friday, August 7, 2026

Oklahoma established as an Indian territory for tribes forcibly moved from the south.  Pressure for land lead Congress to change the ownership of the land from the tribes to individuals and make "extra" available.  This led to the great land rush of 1889. Oklahoma became a state in 1907 and Oklahoma City the State Capital in 1910.

The adjacent slides from the Oklahoma Arts Council show the beauty of the Capital building.
